GIS WebTech Opens Nominations for 6th Annual Technology Leadership Award

Riverside County, California is an economic powerhouse, with a GDP bigger than that of many states. The county has achieved these results with strong emphasis on economic development and a talented economic development team.

Always creative in how they tell the Riverside County success story, Mike Razo and Suvam Patel have continuously sought out and utilized the latest technology tools, including technology from GIS WebTech and Esri. A case in point is their development of an innovative county GIS dashboard, which they rolled out at the 2024 ICSC conference in Las Vegas.

The dashboard features an interactive map highlighting Census Designated Places (CDPs), Supervisorial Districts, primary and secondary freeways, railroads, airports, parks, and bodies of water. Users can easily access comprehensive economic, demographic, and retail data for that community. Designed with retail managers in mind, this tool aids in researching Riverside County communities, gathering retail-related statistics, and evaluating transportation infrastructure.

Mike and Suvam led the development of the dashboard and many of the other technology tools the Riverside County team utilizes.
