2025: A Year of Growth, Innovation, and Technology Leadership

2025 marked another year of significant growth and momentum for GIS WebTech!

As the accompanying graphic illustrates, economic development organizations continue to choose GIS WebTech—both those adopting site selection technology for the first time and those transitioning from legacy providers. Since launching our first application in 2017, this sustained growth has made GIS WebTech one of the largest technology providers serving the economic development market.

    Economic Development Conferences Attended by Ron

    Ron attended 18 conferences last year and 22 the year before, so 2025 was a light travel year for him! We also sponsored several other conferences that Ron did not attend.

    New 3D Virtual Spec Buildings Added to GURU Site Selection

    The total included for free in GURU Site Selection is now up to 44, allowing clients to stage properties with everything from retail and industrial buildings to greenhouses and hotels. When we introduced free 3D virtual buildings to economic development in 2018 we included 8 buildings. How did our library expand from 8 to 44? If a client doesn’t see a building type they need, we add it for free.

    Our landmark study examining what drives engagement by site selectors on economic development websites produced powerful insights showing how economic developers can make their properties stand out. Key findings showed, for example, that properties featuring a 3D virtual building are 20× more likely to be clicked than the average listing.
