2019: GIS WebTech Record Growth Continues

As you can see in the chart to the right, our company’s story is one of rapid

growth through technological disruption. But none of it would be possible without the economic developers that have put their trust in us. We are blessed with an incredible group of clients, hard-working professionals dedicated to the communities they serve.

On behalf of our entire team I want to thank all of our customers for the confidence they have placed in us. We learn from them every day and it is a privilege to serve them.

Let’s take a look back at 2019. It was another record year at GIS WebTech, and numbers help tell the story:

1             Winner of the GIS WebTech Award for Leadership in Technology

5            New states we began serving in 2019

161%    Our average annual growth rate for the last four years

1,122    Miles we drove round-trip to the IEDC conference in Indianapolis

5,000  Population served by our smallest EDO client

55 M    Americans served by economic development groups running GIS    WebTech’s Recruit

61         Miles short of gold status on Delta Airlines for me at  the end of the year…I should have flown to Indy for the IEDC conference!

In 2019 we welcomed Courtney Bridger as our new head of business development, Moira Cleary as our new marketing manager, and Cathy Becker as our new head of customer success. Most important of all, in 2019 we continued our laser focus on technology leadership and client service.

  • We launched a series of new features widening the gap with legacy technologies and ensuring our clients stay at the forefront of technology
  • We worked closely with clients like Greater Seattle Partners and the City of Clearwater to take advantage of Recruit’s flexibility to incorporate local data, helping them tell the unique stories of their communities
  • We developed attractive and informative infographics packages for clients to embed on their websites, highlighting local strengths and maintaining data consistency with the Esri data provided in Recruit
  • We built beautiful, interactive web maps for clients like the Orlando Economic Partnership, enabling them to show local data spatially and support strategies like Orlando’s Live, Work, Play initiative.

I would like to close by thanking our team for their dedication and commitment to serving our clients. We look forward to continuing to serve our clients in 2020. Stay tuned for some more exciting developments!
